                       Your Say

On this page; What do we do? - Parish Survey - Youngsters Survey  - Survey results

You complain - what do we do about it?

The Parish Council lobbies; Central Government, Nottinghamshire County Council, Bassetlaw District Council

and Non-Government Organisations (NGO'S) such as the Police, Ambulance Service and the Fire Brigade on your behalf.

The parish council has direct access to the directors of departments and is able to get direct responses and answers

to its questions and therefore  decisions.

Listed on this site are the main areas of current concern to the parish and being dealt with by the council.

If there are other issues that you consider the Parish Council should be tackling, please let us know.

Misson Parish Plan Consultation

Many residents and businesses of Misson Parish attended the open Parish Council consultative meeting

which took place Wed 5th October 2005. Everyone present was be able to question Jonathan

Dawson of the Rural Community Council and Misson Councilors on all matters but especially

with regard to Misson becoming a 'Quality Parish Council.

           Residents Survey 2006

Dear Resident,

Government is in the process of devolving much of the County and District council decision making to

local councils such as Town and Parish councils. Parish and Town councils are therefore being required

to update and refine their procedures and to put in place a comprehensive method of consultation

with the people who are represented by them.

THE  2006 SURVEY was your opportunity to have YOUR SAY.

This website will bring you up to date on what is happening in Misson and the issues that are being currently tackled by your council.

The parish council is planning a newsletter that will be published and distributed on a regular basis and will hopefully be available later this year.

Misson Parish council as part of the central government initiative is working toward the status of a ‘Quality

Parish council’ which will give us greater influence over the decisions made by Nottinghamshire County Council

and Bassetlaw District Council.  To give your parish council weight it was important that you completed the survey.

Many thanks for those of you who did so.

The results will be used by us to draw up a ‘contract’ with ‘County’ and ‘District’ bringing to Misson the services that we should have and expect.

Thank you to the youngsters who completed and returned their survey, your views are important too and will be included in the Parish Plan!
